Flower

Where did the flower bloom?
A flash of rain-washed heaven
within darkness fell a drop
a birth, testing existence

We have not smiled enough
to know what flowers have -
A secret within their welcoming
Selves, dare me, closer ...

To skies that gently beckon into
The nothingness of everything
A hand to hold, a shoulder to sigh on
And portals that blink and smile.

This is a moment of the infinite
My puny words only look up
And lose themselves within
Themselves.

The Rider

Gnarled fingers on the wheel
Behind what walls do you sleep
Within each eye a stumbling dream
A taste of morning revealed

Miles ahead a blackened face
And nearby streaming hopes that lie
Straining fingers forever chained
And forever is this chase

Trudging the eternal steel you weep
Tears of dust wash a smile
Its roar will be your fuel
Pounding destines its keep

'Waking I lie an auburn lie
The road i must not take
A closer truth hushes my spirit
A rider i ride until i die!'

Drifters

We are all drifters in love
fools for mercy, and a God above
lying to creation an awe awaits forever
the precipice's embrace

within you I know togetherness,
seeping into my eternity - a desire
tis not the oceans of destiny
only a droplet of your peace

As I cling to the hands of time
a breath heaves me out
our world erupts a gold misery of yore
and a single teardrop screams

Although a new world speaks in a whisper
your silence is desperation guiding
gasping hands to a route to the root of love
one last time

The edge of the world is a place where it ends,
the tree of knowledge a tree of life,
and you in their midst stand,
two shadows and an outstretched hand.

Vector

The sky is beautiful, red gold and blue
As the evening sun catches your smile
your hands clasp time
and togetherness is a shimmering light
on destiny's horizon

Drops of rain,a twinkle in eyes
seeing the world go by
with hands entwined
Heads turned in vector

Mumbai

Breath of my people
Darken my trembling walls
As these lead ashen skies embrace
Wailing days that forever linger

Every frozen tear now whimpering
Waiting the everlasting night;
And squarely black the longing gems
Studded within despair droop

Withered my hands rake destinies
Every moment a debt to Time
As day squanders night a gamble of light
Surrenders withering souls

Oh soul of my world
Watch over my millions tonight
They owe a life to torn hopes
Though never this grief you see

And carry a song to wherever
The dream seems to shine
When waters of pain gush from you
Only your love can be mine

Goldfish

we swim

arms surround warmth
i see your pain and sleep into pieces
into open roads white rocks and currents
her voice echoes through
and you cannot hear
for a meadow has called you home

we smile

smiles watch us
blue sunlight, green eyes and pills
we do not walk backwards anymore
the gold bounces off us and into her eyes
that glitter delight
and hope
for an ounce of time

we weep

a last moment of dark tranquility
you bid me farewell
and walk away down into whiteness
within me lies a void
which engulfs us all
she is lost
for yesterday
and a hand plucks you out of my destiny

Patty you left me for him.

BIRTH OF A BREEZE

BIRTH OF A BREEZE

She
slips between the grey leaves
and through the silently wheezing branches,
playfully whistling tunes
that lull these storms

She
glimmers in the darkened sky,
a weighty sigh
that escapes the lips of Divinity
and scampers into existence
on delicate wings of dream.
Still she is strengthened by the hopes,
the prayers that she inspires.

She
shakes off her radiance,
tiny granules of fairy dust
that titter away into the night,
one for each soul that sleeps here.

She,
is an obscurity that is unveiled only when
she smites at the heart,
clasped tightly inside the blue blazer
and the scalding tears that beat incessantly,
where I stand before my mother
inside Roque Cemetery.
