we swim
arms surround warmth
i see your pain and sleep into pieces
into open roads white rocks and currents
her voice echoes through
and you cannot hear
for a meadow has called you home
we smile
smiles watch us
blue sunlight, green eyes and pills
we do not walk backwards anymore
the gold bounces off us and into her eyes
that glitter delight
and hope
for an ounce of time
we weep
a last moment of dark tranquility
you bid me farewell
and walk away down into whiteness
within me lies a void
which engulfs us all
she is lost
for yesterday
and a hand plucks you out of my destiny
Patty you left me for him.
